Valentine Subway Art Frame

Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays, not just for what it symbolizes but for the colors that represent it.
This year, I am drawn to the colors of teal and red. In my last post you will see that it is the predominant color theme in my cards. They just go so well together in my opinion.

Last night I was looking online and came across this subway art design found on the blog Eighteen25

As you can see the colors are perfect.

Here is the finished project

The frame I used was found at Target for $1.99 and was hanging on one of the end caps near the office supplies.I printed the subway art at 3x5 and centered it lower so that the top would not be covered up by the banner. For the banner, I used the Recollection brand banner stamps that were new this year at Michaels. Stamped them using Stampin Up ink in Coastal Cabana and Stazon ink in Blazing Red and cut them out leaving a thin white border around them.

I then hot glued the banners to twine and then glued that to the top of the frame. Adding two bows to the end.

The felt heart is from Darice and was the perfect touch for the bottom of the frame. I also added a heart punched from teal glitter paper.

And this is how it looks displayed next to my table centerpiece.
I only wish I could keep it displayed all year long. :)

Halloween Cards

I have been on a halloween craft roll lately so I wanted to share some of the different cards I have been making.
First up, we have a simple card I made using the Cricut Mini Monster image. I love how the googly eyes gives him a little extra cuteness. I also cut the spider web using the same cart.

This next card was made using a digi stamp from Whimsiedoodles. The have the most adorable stamps in my opinion.

Here is a tag.

Last but not least is another simple card. I used tulle for the bow and it adds just the right touch.

Halloween Hand Sanitizer Gift Box

Here is a little hand sanitizer gift box that I made to give to my son's teacher. These boxes are so cute and very simple to make.

I found this idea on youtube and the channel is called chicnscratch. Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/user/ChicnScratch for anyone interested. She has lots of great ideas!

I did make a few adjustments to mine such as adding a little window and making the piece of cardstock slightly larger. I will include my video link which describes this in more detail. I also included the different things I used to make it.
